03 · Careers & Search Funding
Build at the cutting edge of applied AI.
You already know that the hard part was never the model. It is the floor: the twelve systems, the re-keying, the person who has done it this way since 2004. We will fund you to go buy that business and fix it — and leave you owning about half of it.
The proposition
Stop deploying for other people's cap tables.
The best forward-deployed engineers in the country are producing enormous value inside companies where they hold no equity, for customers who capture the savings. The obvious trade is to own the customer. Almost nobody does it, because buying a company is a capital problem and a paperwork problem, not an engineering problem. We solve those two.
We fund the search
Salary and expenses while you find the business, so the search is a job rather than a gamble against your savings.
We finance the deal
Acquisition debt and part of the equity at the operating company, arranged in-house. You are not cold-calling lenders.
We supply the platform
Shared tooling, the automation playbooks from prior transformations, and a junior engineering bench you can draw on.
You keep the equity
Around half of the operating company, against roughly a quarter under a traditional search-fund structure.
Structure
A pod, not a portfolio company.
The model is closer to a Citadel pod or an independent sponsor than to a search fund. You lead the pod. We are the balance sheet and the bench behind it.
You hold your own holding company
The pod leader owns a personal holdco. Outside investors — including venture investors who want exposure to you rather than to one deal — can invest at that level.
Acquisitions live one level down
Sincerity finances the operating companies with debt plus part of the equity. The operating companies are firewalled from you personally.
The platform travels with you
Every transformation makes the next one cheaper. Playbooks, integrations and underwriting data are shared across pods, which is the entire reason to do this together rather than alone.
Target economics
We build the model toward roughly half a million dollars of expected value in the first year of an acquisition and on the order of a million a year by a fifth-year exit — the point being that it should beat the salary-and-carry ladder at a fund, not that any number is promised.
Target structures and modelled outcomes for discussion. Not compensation terms, not a forecast, and not a guarantee of any result.
Who we are looking for
Unusual people, narrowly defined.
Forward-deployed engineers
Palantir FDEs and deployment strategists, Databricks resident solutions architects, deployed engineers from the AI-native companies. People who have sat in a client's office and made something work that nobody had made work before.
Technical founders between chapters
Strong engineering, honest about product-market fit. If the team is excellent and the market is not, an owned business with real cash flow is a better vehicle than another eighteen months of runway.
Insiders who have already done it
Engineers or technical operators who automated real work inside a brokerage, MGA, TPA or carrier — and watched somebody else capture the savings.
Operators who want the whole job
Buying, hiring, firing, pricing, sitting with a customer who is upset. The engineering is a third of this. If that sounds like a burden rather than the point, this is not the right programme.
Ways in
Open tracks.
We hire continuously and in small numbers. There is no listings board — tell us which track fits and we will take it from there.

Do I need to have run a company before?
No. Most of the people we want have never held a P&L. What you do need is evidence that you have gone into an unfamiliar organisation, understood how the work actually happens, and changed it against resistance.
Do I have to move?
To the business, yes — at least for the first year. These transformations are won by sitting next to the people doing the work. The business itself could be anywhere in the country.
What if I want to transform companies but not buy one?
Then the forward-deployed engineer track, or the engineering-partner track if you already run a firm. Both come with equity or participation in the outcome; neither requires you to lead a search.
What is the first vertical?
Insurance distribution — retail brokerages, wholesalers, MGAs and the services businesses around them. It is manual, fragmented, and the automation surface is enormous. You do not need insurance experience; we will teach it.
Send us the hardest thing you ever got working in production.
No cover letter. Tell us what was broken, what you built, and what it was worth to whoever owned it.
